Aftercare

All stains that occur naturally, should fade overtime with rainfall and sunlight. This rule should also apply to organic stains, such as stains caused by leaves. Regular maintenance and rainfall should make these stains fade. It is recommended you keep your pavement clean by regularly sweeping the surface, or using a leaf blower. When necessary you can clean the pavement with water and a soft brush. The use of chemical detergents like bleach is strongly advised against. If necessary one can use a soft organic soap. We advise against using pressure washers to clean the slabs, because they can damage the surface of the slabs. Which can then make the paving more vulnerable to staining in the future. Never leave any soil, peat, dirty sand or cement on the slabs. Remove directly and wash with clean water and a soft brush. The algae and moss growth is a natural process and is caused by a combination of little sunlight, high humidity and low temperatures. This is true for all paving materials, both concrete and natural stone. This can be easily removed, without scrubbing, by using a biological anti-moss or anti-algae agent such as Lithofin Algex. Efflorescence is a natural process, and is nothing to be concerned about, that occasionally occurs and is caused by a chemical reaction from cement (inside the concrete) with water and results in a so-called lime scale formation (efflorescence) on the surface of the product. This will normally soon disappear again and is therefore temporary
