Yorkstone Paving Sizes

Yorkstone paving is often supplied in the format of fixed widths and random lengths.  There is a logical reason behind this and that is wastage of stone.  Yorkstone is cut from blocks into something called scant (slabs).  The slabs are then cut down to size into paving.  By opting for a random length the level of stone wasted is significantly reduced.  There is still significant amount wastage when a random length is used.  The waste Yorkstone is turned into crazy paving, natural stone sets and wall coping stones.
