I was absolutely delighted to hear that one of our Landscape clients had recently won their second BALI award. Landscaping Solutions LTD are a Surrey based design and build company and won their award in the domestic build category for gardens in the £30,000-£60,000 budget range. The award winning garden features decking, London stock brickwork, water features, timber screening, amazing planting and of course natural stone paving. Even though the garden is traditionally designed it gives the feel of being a true extension to the families living space, something which in my experience is usually reserved for more contemporary styled gardens.
I actually remember the project quite well. Landscaping Solutions were looking to source a clear Buff Yorkstone Paving. Subsequently, Ben West of Landscaping Solutions came down to our depot to view our stock of Yorkstone raw material. The stone that we had in stock was not the right colour so we had to use all of our stone contacts to locate the type of raw material that Ben was looking for. Eventually we located some blocks of stone that met the project specification and from then on it was all systems go.
Using our own wiresaw we cut the blocks down in 900x600x40mm paving, 900x600 is a really popular size for our clients. There was also some bespoke stone requirements for the project and we supplied a number of sawn Yorkstone bench tops. These were supplied with pencil rounded edges and they perfectly complemented the paving.
