Handling Natural Stone Tiles

Natural stone tiles can be fragile and need to be handled with care while they are transported and installed.  Natural stone tiles with sawn edges are particularly susceptible to chipped corners.  When moving stone tiles it is always advisable to wear gloves to protect your hands.  Tiles should be stacked face against face to reduce damage caused by abrasion of contrasting materials.  Always stack tiles on top of something soft like a towel or strips of cardboard.
