Bullnosing is done for aesthetic and practical reasons. Sawn natural stone is sharp and in the case of steps, the sharp edges can be exposed and on display. These sharp edges could easily cause injury to a foot, or could cause a more pronounced trip hazard. Bull nosing natural stone steps will solve both these problems. Not to mention that bullnosed step treads also look great !!!
