This month London Stone are introducing the London Stone Trade Club, aimed at making life easier for all of you working with natural stone products. Some of you will be already familiar with our profile scheme—quite a lot of you actually, as a cracking number have joined in the past few weeks. The London Stone Trade Club is a bigger, better version.
It's still free to join and incorporates our profile scheme, now called Connect. This rename underlines how useful it is for connecting you, not only with each other if you need to find a partner in a project to fill a skill gap, but also with homeowners and designers, who will be able to look through the profiles to choose just the person they need for their job.
For those of you who aren't yet in Connect, this is what you get to upload to your online profile:
- a short description of your company
- five images of your completed work
- company logo
- links to your website and social media accounts
- information on your trade association memberships
The London Stone Trade Club offers quite a bit more, though. Not only do you gain an enhanced Club Discount (on top of your usual trade discount), but you'll also have access to 24/7 Stone, our sales online portal which lets you check stock levels, place orders, view your order history and pay bills. What's good about this is that you can now shunt all those necessary admin tasks to a time that suits, rather than having to take a slice out of the day when you'd rather be talking to clients or working on site.
We also send every member a free London Stone sample box which contains 75 x 75mm samples of every stone in our range—by far the best way, we've discovered, to help clients understand the colour and finish of the stone available and introduce them to interesting alternatives for their design.
Is that it? Well, no. Members are also offered free, expert, on-site training and support in pointing and sealing for our GftK Pointing range and Dry Treat sealing range.
And is that it? Of course not! Membership also includes access to one of the club's most useful tools—our Spec Uploader. It sounds like something Scottie might introduce to Captain James T Kirk, but is far more practical. Designers enter their specifications and invite their chosen contractors to quote for the work. We then automatically send out quotes for the stone materials to both the designer and the contractors, resulting in details of a possible contract being delivered straight to your inbox and taking some of the hassle out of the tendering process.
All in all, you've got absolutely nothing to lose by joining and we hope you'll agree that Trade Club offers a very useful tool for promoting and administering your business. We very much look forward to welcoming you aboard and alerting the world to your work via the London Stone website and Twittersphere.
NB If you've already joined our profile scheme, you will be automatically be upgraded to full Trade Club membership – keep your eyes peeled for your welcome email, containing your log in details for the 24/7 Stone portal, which will be winging its way to you very soon!
