The summer RHS garden shows continue to attract thousands of visitors and the roadshow now moves north from Hampton Court to Tatton Park, which is held from 23rd to 27th July at the famous, historic gardens on this 2,000 acre estate near Knutsford in Cheshire. London Stone and Crowder’s Nursery are sponsoring the ‘Vogue’ Garden which has been designed by Belinda Belt of Greenbelt Landscapes, who are also building the garden.
The idea behind the design is a representation of a fashion show set and our sawn Grey Yorkstone paving has been selected as the main hard landscaping material for the broad ‘runway’ and the coping stones for the walls which will create a series of changes in level and delineate bays of planting. The grey, sawn surface of the paving, with small darker streaks and the occasional brown/green flecks, will provide a sleek, smooth finish which beautifully matches the contemporary design.
Six semi-mature trees, under-planted with grasses and perennials, form symmetrical planting and create a formal, minimalist look. The garden will create a calm, adult space for relaxation and reflection, requiring little upkeep and we are confident it will be a winner with the visitors to the show.
