Beige Porcelain Tiles

Why Choose Beige Porcelain Paving?

With shades that range from cream to pale biscuit, beige porcelain can bring your garden patio everything from an airy lightness to an organic warmth. Its neutral tones make it easy to style.

Beige porcelain provides a neutral shade that works well with natural planting, providing a light-enhancing contrast with lawns, decking and fencing. It is also particularly comfortable with older properties where stone is employed.

Beige porcelain paving vs natural stone

Several of our different beige porcelain outdoor tiles emulate natural stone, which we also supply. The choice between the two can depend on your lifestyle, the style of your design, and budget.

Portland stone, for example, is one of the best-loved, most desirable limestones on the market, but unfortunately, it’s also one of the priciest options. Opting for Faro porcelain, which mimics the look of pale beige Portuguese limestone, offers a remarkably similar aesthetic to Portland Stone at a much lower cost. This is exactly what Elliot Hood did for his award-winning RHS Tatton Park show garden, achieving the luxurious look without the hefty price tag.

Jura Beige limestone is another sought-after favourite with a price to match. Our Jura porcelain looks strikingly like the real thing. Find out more about Jura Beige porcelain and how it compares with the authentic German Jura limestone.

Whether in natural stone or porcelain, beige paving slabs will show the dirt more than other colours, such as grey, so will need to be maintained more regularly. But if maintenance is a factor when deciding between stone and porcelain, you will find that beige porcelain is more stain- and dirt-resistant than natural stone and may only need a brush-down with water to return it to its new-laid appearance. For the modern lifestyle, this makes it a practical but stylish choice for high-traffic areas, retaining a colour that adds a fresh, light ambiance.

Designing With Beige Porcelain Paving Slabs

Designing a garden with beige porcelain adds a warm tone that can be a welcome reminder of holidays around the Mediterranean. This light, welcoming feel has led to its choice for award-winning gardens by leading designers. Will Williams earned Young Designer of the Year for his 2018 RHS Tatton Park show garden, which featured Golden Stone porcelain looking totally at home alongside Beige sawn sandstone.

Some of our porcelain colours are perennial favourites that have won hearts since we first introduced the paving to the industry in 2014. Sandy White was also one of our original porcelain materials and took a starring role in Jo Thompson's Gold-winning Chelsea garden that year.

Does beige porcelain paving need to be sealed?

Porcelain outdoor tiles—even in light colours such as cream, buff, and beige—do not need to be sealed. Because of the way porcelain paving is manufactured, it absorbs very little moisture, even in the heaviest downpour, and therefore draws very little dirt into its surface. Generally, brushing slabs down with water or a jet wash is all that is required to return them to the way they looked on the day they were laid.

Occasionally, there are reasons why you might decide to seal your porcelain paving. If it is in a high-traffic area, or under trees that shed their leaves in autumn, sealing can make cleaning quicker. To speed your installation, we offer a paving sealing service, so your slabs are delivered pre-sealed, ready for laying. If you would like more advice, then please contact our experienced advisors.

Do You Offer an Installation Service for Your Range of Beige Porcelain Paving?

We do not offer an installation service for our paving products. However, if you require a landscaper of garden designer, our Landscape Specialist Scheme may be of use.

Before committing to a landscaper, you should ensure that the person you choose is right for your garden project. It is worth asking your proposed tradesperson if you can view a portfolio of similar works - we also recommend getting several quotations before making a commitment.

More information about installing our porcelain and natural stone paving can be found on our Installation FAQ page.
