Day 2 in Warrington with The Original Stone Paving Co

Were going to pay our daily visit to Warrington to see how The Original Stone Paving Co are progressing with their Natural Stone Paving installation.  The mini digger on site has made light work of the excavations and as you will see from the following photos, Cookies lads are starting to install the sub base in some areas.  Exterior Stone Paving is only as good as the sub base on which it is laid.  The Original Stone Paving Co are laying a sub base of MOT type 1, a graded aggregate which is then compacted with a plate compactor to form a strong base.

Its also good to see the retaining walls going up.  The retaining walls are being constructed using solid concrete block and will retain the raised beds and prevent them from falling in or subsiding in the future.  Retaining walls can be made from a variety of materials, the most common ones are Concrete block, bricks and timber sleepers.  Retaining walls need to be very strong as they are often supporting a lot of weight.  Check out the Original Stone Paving Co extensive portfolio of Natural Stone Paving, you will find examples of many different types of natural stone installation including Indian Sandstone, Reclaimed Granite Setts and Reclaimed Yorkstone Paving

Check into the blog tomorrow to see an update on progress
