Soil Requirements

Able to grow in a variety of soil types (chalk, sand, clay, loam).

It is a versatile plant that is able to grow in soil that varies in pH levels (acid, alkaline, neutral).

Watering RequirementsKeep soil moist throughout warmer months, reduce watering all together in winter.
Maintenance

Used commonly as a hedging plant. Regular maintenance throughout the growing seasons will ensure a denser tidier hedge.

You can prune most evergreen shrubs just before the flush of new growth starts in spring, once the risk of frost hasp past. Pruning at this time will avoid frost damage to new shoots, and pruning scars will be concealed by new growth.
