Troughs are a great alternative to raised flower beds, saving on space, complementing outdoor décor as well as helping to keep burying pests away. They are a perfect for planting bright coloured flowers as well as edibles, or for showing off smaller plants that may otherwise get hidden. Annuals, succulents, perennials, alpines, bellflower, catchfly, flowering onion, iris, or aloe are all great choices for a planter box but be sure not to mix different growing requirements. For visual impact with the planters, place the Wooden Trough Planter parallel to each other along a path for an instant screen of green. Fill the planters with tall trees to bring an element of privacy as well as bringing a stunning visual impact.
