A Highgate garden, designed by up-and-coming garden designer Lucy Willcox, featured in Alan Titchmarsh's new ITV series Love Your Garden this month. It also featured our Contemporary Grey sawn sandstone! We take a look.

About Love Your Garden
In the show Alan uses Lucy's cleverly designed space as an example of how to get the best out of a small garden and explains the simple design techniques Lucy has used to create an outdoor room.
Alan used Lucy's garden as inspiration in transforming the garden of a well-deserving London family. Sixteen-year-old Danny Nwosu has been living with sickle cell anaemia for the last ten years and his mum, Carol, has crippling arthritis, so being able to create an outdoor area that all can is use is key to the family.
'It was such a pleasure to meet Alan. The concept of the show is innovative and explores how everyone can get the best out of their outside space to enjoy and relax in, no matter what the size,’ says Lucy.
A garden for adults and children

This garden serves a range of different purposes. There are lots of areas for adults to relax and entertain in, a must for any modern garden. Also there is space for the kids to play in, something that can be clearly identified on one of the images as a child shoots past on a mini scooter. We also like the use of contrasting natural materials like natural stone paving, hardwood decking and softwood screens. The garden has been shortlisted in the SGD 2013 awards.
About Contemporary Grey sawn sandstone paving
Contemporary Grey sawn sandstone paving has an even tone and sawn and sandblasted finish, giving slabs a crisp edge that take well to narrow joint lines. Its clean, minimalist appearance suits contemporary designs and makes it one of our most popular choices. And here, the 900x600mm slabs have been laid in a stack bond, or chequerboard, pattern for a particularly modern feel.
We love the "stacked riser" appearance of the sides of the raised patio, echoing as it does the linearity of the nearby decking. It's small details like this that express the quality of the design.
Well done, Lucy!

We would like to congratulate Lucy for being involved in such a high profile and worthwhile project.
