Team Felix

London Stone have been supporting Team Felix, who raise funds for Duchenne UK, since 2016, and have completed two mammoth fund-raising events for the charity so far. In 2016, a group from London Stone walked coast-to-coast, from Newcastle to Carlisle, and in 2018, a team scaled Gran Paradiso, Italy’s highest peak, to raise funds for Team Felix. London Stone also ran a campaign called ‘#ShowYourStrength’ in 2016, whereby we donated 10% of our daily turnover, and gave donations for posts on social media using the hashtag. We have also twice sponsored the charities annual ‘Fefest’ fundraising music festival and have donated prizes to their fundraising balls. We are extremely close to reaching our £30,000 fundraising target for Team Felix.

About Team Felix

Team Felix raise funds for Duchenne UK, whose aim is to eradicate Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) – a devastating muscle-wasting disease, mostly affecting boys. Felix is the son of close friend to founding Directors, The Walley’s, Karl Kuhwald. Felix was diagnosed with DMD in 2013, and Karl sadly passed away in 2015 from cancer. Team Felix was founded by Felix’ mother Lisa, to raise money to bring the possibility of a cure closer. Incredible progress is being made in the fight against this disease, and Duchenne UK have a pledge to ‘end Duchenne in 10’; a possibility that is rapidly becoming a reality.

Our Commitment to Team Felix

London Stone has joined Team Felix with the aim of raising as much money as possible for Felix and all the other young boys living with DMD. Devastatingly, Karl died of cancer in 2015, so in memory of Karl and in support of Lisa, Felix and his brothers Herbie, Oscar and Caspar we have committed to raising £30,000 for this outstandingly worthy cause.
