At the end of March we wrote about the launch of the London Stone register of garden designers and contractors which allows visitors to the website to find experts in their local area. Companies who join the scheme have the opportunity to showcase five projects and include a description of the services that they offer, together with full contact details. There are links to their websites and social media pages for more in depth information. They are also able to list their experience in the use of different types of stone paving.
There is so much variety in the projects the members have included; from small, modern town gardens up to large rural scheme which are traditional in conception. Many of the pictures show the landscapers skills in hard landscaping.
Since the launch we have been overwhelmed with the take up of the scheme with 150 people already signed up and a similar number in the process of creating their profiles. We have also received numerous emails from landscapers who have successfully won contracts as a result of being members of the scheme. The concept of providing customers with an additional service is at the heart of the ethos of London Stone.
We are currently working on phase 2 of the scheme and over the next few weeks we will be adding new features which will allow landscapers and contractors to check stock levels for their chosen products, place orders online 24/7 and retrieve paperwork. The aim is to provide the contractors and landscapers with an easy to use, efficient ordering system which will save time and simplify record keeping.
