Installation Hints for Facing Bricks

• Prepare the Surface: Build a clean and level foundation from concrete for the brick wall to sit on.
• Mix Mortar: Mix sand and cement in the appropriate ratio, ensuring a consistent texture. A slightly thicker mortar mix is often preferred for facing bricks to secure a strong hold.
• Lay the First Row: Start by installing a level string line along the wall foundation. Using a trowel, apply a layer of mortar to the foundation and pressing each brick into the mortar. Use spacers for a uniform gap if required.
• Check Alignment: Every few rows, use a level to check alignment, adjusting as needed to maintain an even look.
• Apply Mortar to Joints: Once bricks are placed, apply mortar to the joints using a trowel, smoothing it out for a neat finish.
