Ethically Sourced Natural Stone Pavinggg

London Stone will be visiting Rajasthan on the 14th October to meet up with our Indian based natural stone paving suppliers. We will be meeting our suppliers to discuss the following issues:

Ethics

Since joining the ETI in September 2009 London Stone are committed to a program of continuous improvement in relation to how we trade with our foreign suppliers. We have worked hard this year on revising our purchasing practices and as a result of this hard work have made some fundamental changes to the way that we buy stone. On this visit we will be visiting the quarry regions of Bhudpura & Gwalior. The purpose will be to get a greater understanding of our supply chains and also of infrastructure improvements made since our last visit.

Product specifications

From January 2011 all the stone we supply will be calibrated to a depth of 25mm and we will be meeting with our Indian sandstone paving suppliers to finalize details of this. In addition to this we will be discussing on going quality and packaging issues as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
