Not just in paving, either. “Gone are the days of waiting weeks and weeks for Yorkstone,” said Steve Walley, our MD. “In an increasingly challenging market, we hope that having this material at your disposal is as effective as it is innovative.” With Paving available in 900 x 600mm, 600 x 600mm and 600 x 400mm slabs, classic Bullnose Steps in generous, design-friendly widths of 2000 x 500mm and 900 x 500mm, and Copings at 600 x 300mm with a neat Pencil Round Edge, we think we’ve got your major needs covered.

Neil Sutcliffe of Creative Roots used it in Time for Everything at Chatsworth last year, commenting on how he liked its markings, especially when wet. Matt Keightley chose it for the Jeremy Vine Texture Garden at Chelsea. He used giant slabs, but commented “With Grey Yorkstone, the fewer joints, the more minimalist and contemporary it appears.” Hence our inclusion of the largest standard format, 900 x 600mm. It also stars in the winning photo he took for our competition in 2016/17. “Grey Yorkstone gives the planting a muted structure,” he explained. “In the normal light of day, where planting can appear ordinary, against this stone it really pops out.”
