The Proteus aluminium pergola is available as a 4x3m rectangular pergola, as well as 3x3m square pergola for smaller spaces.

Available in 2 colours

Slate Grey is a very popular colour for garden features. If you have aluminium furniture, it's almost certainly dark grey and and this pergola will look right at home. If you need an exact match with other garden features, this is RAL 7015. NEW! Pebble Grey (RAL 7032) is a lighter, not-quite white, with beige undertones. The brighter colour can be used to lift a design and tone with a beige, buff and brown colour palette.

New! Optional adjustable blinds

Choose the 4x3m size and you have the option of adding up to four adjustable blinds, for whichever sides of the pergola suit you best. Create an effective shelter from that prevailing breeze or add privacy from the next-door neighbour. Blinds are operated by hand and can be positioned as you wish.

The fixed-louvre side wall option gives you increased weather-protection and privacy.

New! Optional louvred side panels

Fixed-louvre side panels extend your privacy options for the 3x4m pergola. In powder-coated aluminium to match the frame, the panels are a permanent installation, allowing air flow and a view out from within the pergola, while restricting visibility. The view in is particularly restricted from above, so you can avoid being looked down on from upstairs windows. Choose up to 3 panels per side. The maximum of 11 results in almost complete enclosure, with space for entry.

No worries. Upgrade your installation by retrofitting the louvred side panels in the position of your choice. Blinds are operated by hand and can be positioned as you wish.

Easy to install

ust two people are needed to put a Proteus pergola up. It’s a straightforward construction. If you can round up a third person, that’s even better. In around 2 hours, you’ll be able to relax in its shade with a congratulatory cup of tea.

Built to last

The Proteus aluminium louvred pergola has been thoroughly wind-tested to withstand violent storms. It stands sturdily on 88mm square legs, which are bolted to the ground with universal ground fixings, supplied as standard. Correctly installed, this stays where it’s put. The louvres are constructed of galvanised steel, while the powder coating is UV-resistant, ensuring your aluminium pergola retains its fresh colour. For your peace of mind, pergolas come with a 2-year guarantee.

Award-winning design

What makes the Proteus louvred pergola so elegant is its design, based on the company's 2020 Red Dot winner. If you haven’t come across Red Dot yet, it’s a prestigious international design competition that singles out products worthy of recognition in their different categories. Judges described this pergola design as “functionally sophisticated”.

Clever drainage system

And it certainly is. A smooth hand-crank takes the louvres from fully closed to fully open in less than 30 seconds, allowing a quick, watertight response. And have you ever opened up a pergola roof, only to be deluged by last night’s rain? The Proteus ensures this never happens. The picture shows how the louvres are watertight, ensuring no water drips through below. At the same time, the clever drainage system directs water into the side-frames, where it’s channelled into the legs and drains out of the leg bases. No sudden wet surprises! And, more clever still, while we recommend installing the pergola on even ground, the design ensures water drains even when the pergola is standing on uneven ground.
