The restrained palette of white flowers against pale green foliage was selected as a contrast to the larger show gardens which can take a wider spectrum. At just 3m by 12m with the further challenge of a 360 degree view, the choice of silver birches provides height, together with the much admired Cornus kousa, white irises and roses.
The metal bench is a strong, sinuous statement which fits in perfectly within the space and is complemented by the bespoke stone sculpture by Frederic Chevarin.
The garden was built by landscape contractors, The Outdoor Room, who had a great Chelsea landscaping three gardens which one two gold medals and one silver-gilt medal.
We would like to congratulate Jo on a well-conceived design and a deserved gold medal and are proud to have been able to provide one of the many elements which make up the London Garden.
