Old-fashioned maths
Alternatively, measure the length and the width of the area, and multiply the two together. If it's an awkward shape, divide it into measurable sections, calculate each section, and add the results together.
So, an area 6.5m x 9m, using 600 x 600mm slabs:
1. 6.5m divided by 600mm = 10.8 (round up to 11 slabs)
2. 9m divided by 600mm = 15
3. No. of slabs required: 11 x 15 = 165
We recommend always ordering 10% more than calculated for, to allow for wastage, breakages and miscalculations. Also, please note that we always do a quality check prior to delivery and if the picking team notice that any pieces are broken in a crate, they add the equivalent number of free slabs to your delivery (to save time unpacking and reloading).
