Sometimes a bespoke option is the only choice. If creating areas that are intricate and complex, such as stepped areas, a fireplace hearth, or a curved coping, you need to make sure that the stone is cut to exacting dimensions. A mistake at the measuring or surveying stage could mean that extra costs could be incurred through wasted stone, remakes and wasted resources on site during installation. When measuring and surveying a piece of bespoke natural stone that is not regular in size it is standard practice to make a template.
Templates can be made from a variety of materials but are most commonly made from Corex, or Plywood. These templates are then positioned on top of larger pieces of stone and our state-of-the-art CNC blades will cut around the template, ensuring a clean, crisp finish. Please note that London Stone use water when sawing, so we cannot accept templates made from perishable materials, such as cardboard or paper.
