A Highgate garden designed by up and coming garden designer Lucy Willcox,  is to feature in Alan Titchmarsh's new ITV series, Love Your Garden, on Tuesday 9th July at 8pm. In the show Alan uses Lucy's cleverly designed space as an example of how to get the best out a small garden and explains the simple design techniques Lucy has used to create an outdoor room.

Alan used Lucy's garden as inspiration for a project in this episode - in which he transforms the garden of a well deserving London family, the Nwosu’s. 16 year old Danny had been living with sickle cell anemia for the last ten years and his mum Carol has crippling arthritis, so being able to create a creative outdoor area is key to the family.

'It was such a pleasure to meet Alan. The concept of the show is innovative and explores how everyone can get the best out of their outside space to enjoy and relax in, no matter what the size’. says Lucy.

We would like to say well done to Lucy Wilcox for being involved in such a high profile and worthwhile project.  Take a look at some of the pictures of the finished project that Lucy designed using London Stones Contemporary Grey Sawn Sandstone Paving

This garden serves a range of different purposes.  There are lots of areas for adults to relax and entertain in, a must for any modern garden.  Also there is space for the kids to play in, something that can be clearly identified on one of the images as a child shoots past on a mini scooter.  We also like the use of contrasting natural materials like natural stone paving, hardwood decking and softwood screens.  The garden has also been shortlisted in the SGD 2013 awards.
